My name is John Drexler, and I am an experienced HR/OD Consultant and Executive Coach who specializes in temporarily back-filling open HR Generalist, HR Manager, HR Business Partner, HR Director and HR Vice President positions.

I have successfully completed dozens of temporary on-site HR assignments at San Francisco Bay area companies. Full-time or part-time, assignment lengths have ranged from a few days to over a year. 

My clients range from start-ups to global enterprises. They tell me that they appreciate my ability to quickly understand a new environment, make immediate contributions, and deliver a clean and complete transition when the project is over. They also say that they appreciate my business acumen, my work ethic, my sense of humor, and my ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

My generalist HR skills include include talent acquisition (have filled 1,300+ requisitions to date), diversity and inclusion, engagement and 
retention, performance management, compensation, incentives, benefits, metrics, employee relations, employment law, outplacement counseling, training and development, HR program management, and meeting planning and facilitation. I also have significant OD experience.

I have successfully functioned in the 'solo HR' role, as an individual contributor/ team player in larger organizations, as a manager of teams of ten or more employees, and as the client's senior-most HR leader. I have a rich network of colleagues and clients to draw upon when I need to benchmark a particularly thorny issue.

I am comfortable and effective working at all levels of the organizational hierarchy, across all technologies and corporate functions, and across generations. I have a technical undergraduate degree, an MBA, and post-graduate study in Organizational Development.
